The continuing IDEA Public Schools (charter school) legal saga continues as one reads its court response to a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed by its former chief financial officer, Californiabased Wyatt Truscheit, this past August, less than a month after he resigned from the charter.
The news these days is hard to fathom. On one hand this week, I see conflicting headlines all over the place. Such as, “Covid spreading faster than ever,” along with, “Hospitals nationwide see flood of patients” (Source: MSN.com).
Before I write this column, I should disclose that as posted on Facebook, I’m in the hip pocket of the PSJA Family Matters slate because it has advertised with The Advance throughout this election. As such, my stories/columns are allegedly slanted in their favor, and according to another poster, The Advance News is “horrid.”
PSJA ISD Board Candidate Heather Garza has COVID-19, her husband, San Juan Mayor Mario Garza, confirmed Tuesday. It wasn’t the family’s decision, however, to release that information, he said; and in his opinion, it’s personal medical information.
A longtime administrator at PSJA ISD, Jessica Villanueva, who currently works as an assistant principal at Kelly Elementary, has people talking this week after filing a petition for declaratory judgment late last week against incumbents Jesse Zambrano, Jorge Zambrano, and Jesse Vela, claiming that they misused school resources for personal gain.
