Don’t take your heart for granted

No hard news

Observations Commentary

I have so much hard news to write this week that it’s coming out of my ears and my fingers; but they’re not making it into this week’s Advance. Stories from Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, PSJA ID, Donna, Weslaco, Edcouch, Edinburg, Edinburg ISD, Hidalgo County Precinct 4, McAllen, Hidalgo, Mission, and La Joya. Plus, a very good interview, I think, with the new county judge. Found out some interesting stuff.

My wife took my pulse, said it felt irregular and suggested we go the ER. At night, around 10 p.m.? Was she kidding? I’d rather die in bed, passing quietly into the night than face a crowded ER on a Sunday night with coughing, screaming kids tripping over my feet.
