THURSDAY STATS,  10-01-2020 EDINBURG – Another 20 deaths related to COVID-19 as well as 214 new positive cases have been reported by the county’s health department, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez said Thursday. The total death count from this virus now stands at 1,718 and the total number of those testing positive is 32,198.   Of the total testing positive, 91 more people have been released meaning they have not shown symptoms for ten days or haven’t had a fever for the last three of those days.
