Pharr resident earns master’s degree from UTSA

Robee Ruiz is officially a graduate from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

At 22, she has earned her master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with Cum Laude honors, adding another feather to her cap of academic success.

Ruiz’s journey toward excellence began with her outstanding performance at PSJA North High School, where she graduated 4th in her class in 2020. Since then, she has continued to demonstrate dedication, perseverance and passion for learning, as well as culminating in this significant milestone.

As close family members and loved ones celebrate Ruiz’s accomplishments, they extend their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for her future endeavors. Her determination and commitment serve as an inspiration to us all, the family said.

Ruiz is the daughter of Velma Ruiz and granddaughter of Erasmo and Cheny Martinez. Her sister is Cheney Maldonado.
