PHARR — This weekend will for sure go out with a bang as the City of Pharr is inviting the public to its Independence Day festival on Saturday.
The Southern Exposures Youth Nature Photo Contest is now open, inviting young photographers ages 6 to 18 to capture the beauty of the natural world this summer. The free contest is organized by the Valley Land Fund in partnership with the City of McAllen’s Quinta Mazatlán and is designed to encourage families to get kids outdoors this summer—exploring parks, nature centers, and backyards and encouraging families to spend more time outdoors this summer.
This week, Cinderella Pet Rescue has two dogs who are looking for a loving home.
The local food bank is asking the public to help provide meals for local children during the summer months.
