Cinderella Pet Rescue: Furry friends in need of homes
Special to the Advance
Here’s a question for you readers: How do you spell cute?
We at Cinderella Pet Rescue think you spell it “baby husky” and we have that brand of cuteness available right now for pre-adoption, times four.
This means we are taking applications to adopt one of the four handsome boy puppies, who were born on Aug. 1. They may be taken to their forever homes once they have had their neuter surgeries. Spartacus, who has a grand smile, is one of these adorable, roly-poly pups.
Perhaps you think cute is spelled “kitten” and we agree with you. Didi is one of a litter of three very sweet and playful female kittens, available right now for adoption. Born in May, 2023, this little girl is a dark calico — a pretty patchwork of black, orange and white with a little pink nose. She has a bumper crop of whiskers and great big ears that will take some growing into. Judging by their size, she should be a good-sized kitty when she’s grown up. She and her two sisters, Jiji and Mimi, are already spayed and they have the required shots, so if you’d like to add some feline cuteness to your life, call us at 391-4399.
Now, back to those baby huskies: Spartacus has such a happy grin on his sweet babyface because he and his brothers were rescued from certain death by our director, because that’s what she does. He and two of his brothers have very symmetrical black and white markings, and the third is pure white with a black nose and ice blue eyes. Speaking of eyes, Spartacus has one blue and one brown, as does one of his brothers. The fourth pup has ice blue eyes like the white pup.
Looking at their pictures, you will see why they are called “huskies.” Their stocky, sturdy little legs will get leaner as they grow. Like their sled-dog relatives, these pups will be great runners with lots of stamina, so if you’re looking for a jogging or running companion, one of these babies could be the pooch for you.
So, if cuteness is high on your list of priorities for a pet, you can’t go wrong with Didi or Spartacus or one of their siblings. But, these wonderful puppies and kittens all bring sweetness, playfulness and friendliness to the table as well.
If you’re interested in adopting either Spartacus or Didi, or one of their siblings, please fill out our online adoption application and we will contact you. Be sure to check our website at www.cinderella-pet-rescue.org to see all of them, and to see all the other great pets we have available.
Cinderella Pet Rescue is a private, non-profit organization, funded solely by donations. If you would like to do something to help homeless pets but aren’t in the position to adopt, please consider making a donation to us. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Every penny goes to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care. We couldn’t do what we do without the support of people like you.
