Ed. note: Thanks to my buddy, retired Professor Rene Torres for this photo. I’ve seen a lot of historical Pharr photos, but I’ve never seen this one. If anyone has any insight about the National Theater, please call The Advance News office at (956) 783-0036. It definitely doesn’t look like the old Texas Theater. The car parked in front looks like a Ford Model T, built between 1908 and 1927, but one of the earlier models, no? Also, who knows anything about the City Meat Market?
