Pets of the week

Little Wendi is thriving today because she has a foster home. The littlest of her litter, this itty bitty kitty had a rough start, but she's feisty and though still a bit tiny, she's healthy and ready for her perfect match! She loves to cuddle and play, and she's lived with another cat so would love a home with another cat. If you'd like to meet her, reach out to us at (956) 720-4563 today. Would you like to join our foster program today? Stop by either our Trenton or Andrews Center to help a pet out this Pawliday! Visiting the shelter can be heartbreaking because of seeing all the homeless pets, with your help we can change that for as many pets as possible. Frisbee came to us terrified coming off the Animal Control truck and his face showed it. You can tell he was thinking "What is this place?" It’s always saddening to see these animals put in these stressful situations. Thankfully three-year-old Frisbee put his trust into our dedicated kennel staff. Of course, he would love to find a forever home but he is safe with us for now. He loves being outdoors during his enrichment time to play. If you are ready to be slobbered with kisses then stop by our Trenton Center to meet him today.

This social-lite is Miles! The name is quite fitting since he can run and play for miles. This playful boy loves to be the center of attention, and it is never a dull moment with Miles around. His energy makes for the perfect exercise partner. Miles can fetch, but there is no guarantee that you will see that toy again; he enjoys a little chase and will make you work for the toy. Highly treat-motivated, he was eager to sit or stand for the chance to get a treat, making it easier to train him. Miles will fit nicely in a home with a family that can keep up with his energy and is willing to lounge around after a full day of play. Come on over to our Trenton Center today to meet him!

The shelter is packed this week, and we need your help! We have more than 1,100 animals in custody, including 72 puppies between the ages of 2-4 months. Need some puppy breath in your life? Come meet puppies at both our Trenton and Andrews Center anytime between 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The baby puppy Dalina posted here is just one of seven in a litter of adorable Staffordshire terrier mixes that are two months old and are ready for adoption! Meet them at our Trenton Center today.

We have had a crazy amount of puppies and kittens coming into the shelter. As a result, we are in urgent need of 2-week foster caregivers for puppies, kittens, and infant pets with nursing moms in order for them to be cleared for rescue transfer. Becoming a foster for us is easy! No experience is required and we'll teach you all you need to know and provide all of the needed supplies. Visit us daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or sign up online at pvastx.org/foster.
