Hidalgo County Criminal District Attorney Toribio “Terry” Palacios will host the 5th annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day “WEAAD” Parade in collaboration with the Hidalgo County Family Violence Task Force; Texas Department of Family and Protective Services; Adult Protective Services; Silver Ribbon Community Partners; Mujeres Unidas; the RGVEZ Victims of Crime Program, and the Edinburg Police Department.

McAllen approves design of new regional animal care facility

The City of McAllen Mayor & City Commission recently approved an $820,000 budget amendment to begin construction on a regional animal care facility for Palm View Animal Society, according to a Monday news release.
