Cinderella Pet Rescue: It’s time to fall for a dog
It seems like September has arrived in record time. Wasn’t it just New Year’s a couple of months ago? No matter how time seems to be speeding up, we’re in a “meantime” right now — vacation is over and the holidays are far enough away that panic isn’t necessary (yet). Cinderella would like to suggest that this in-between time is perfect for finding yourself a sedate pussycat to keep you company, or, if you prefer a slightly more rambunctious type, why not “fall” for one of Cinderella’s canine companions?
We’re offering a couple of recent arrivals at our shelter, hoping for quick adoptions, and happily-ever-afters, all the way around. They’re young males, one tall, dark and striking, and the other short, light, and cuddly as can be.
If you’d like a lap dog, Carmelo is your boy. He’s a 12 pound poodle-mix, with reddish blonde hair, big brown eyes and a fluffy tail that seems to be in perpetual motion anytime a favorite human is around. He’s four years old, polite and he always tries to please. Bath time is fun-time for this little guy and he’s house-trained and crate trained. He would love to be with you as much as he can and make every walk or car-ride an adventure.
Zorro is a gorgeous Belgian Malinois. He stands tall and proud and, at six months of age, he already weighs a solid 37 pounds. His coat is a light brown with overtones of black right up to his face, which is as black as night. He could be scary and intimidating looking, if he’d only stop smiling. But, he enjoys running and playing with other dogs and he loves people too, so he’s probably not going to be very intimidating to anyone who knows him. He’s well-muscled and athletic, so he would probably enjoy being a part of your daily jogging or running routine.
Both Carmelo and Zorro are neutered and upto- date on their shots. They would love to come to your house and get settled in before all the excitement of the holidays begins.
