July’s the time for hot dogs and cool cats

Cinderella Pet Rescue has animals waiting for a lovely home

Summer’s in full swing now with day after day of sweltering weather, interrupted only by a few rain storms, to provide temporary much needed relief for our canine friends.

Our Cinderella dogs are lucky because they all have access to shade and plenty of water. Some are even lucky enough to spend part of their day inside, enjoying the comfort of air conditioning.

Here’s the way you can help one well-behaved and pretty would-be lap dog find a cool place to live, as well as finding the lap of her dreams. Brandi will turn 5 in October but she would prefer not to wait that long to find her perfect person, family, and home.

Brandi is a brindle and white American Staffordshire Terrier/ Lab cross with almost symmetrical markings, luminous copper- brown eyes, a big black nose, and a cute white-tipped tail that can’t keep itself from wagging when she’s around a favorite person.

She enjoys lots of activity including play time with people or other dogs but somebody forgot to tell her that 65 pounds is pretty large for a lap dog. If your lap is large enough Brandi says, “If it fits, I sit!"

Don’t worry, though, if you’re small in stature, Brandi will be content to snuggle up close to you, to show you that she loves you. To be loved in return is what she craves the most. Having a perfectly climate-controlled home isn’t an absolute necessity, but having a home where love is in control is, for Brandi.

Putter, a very young reddish-orange with white tabby kitten. He was born in mid-April and currently weighs well under 10 pounds. He’s got a very sweet face which matches his disposition perfectly. He has a tiny pink nose, greenish golden eyes, and big ears that seem to hint that he’s going to do some growing to catch up to them.

He has been raised in a loving foster home where he has ample playtime with other young cats and dogs. He’s friendly with new people and will be happy to snuggle up for a lovefest whenever he gets the chance.

Because he only knows the comfort of living inside, he’s one cool cat. (Let’s face it, most cats are COOL, no matter where they live!)

It should be noted that adopters of our cats and kittens must agree to keep them inside for life, since it’s the best way to ensure a long, safe and healthy life.

Brandi is spayed and Putter is neutered. Both are up-to-date on their shots. Call us today at 3914399 or check out our website at www.cinderella-pet-rescue.org for more information on these and all the other great pets just waiting for a loving person like you to come along and claim them.

We have some adorable puppies and other young kittens available, as well as new canine arrivals, Chewbecky, Alegre, and Bojangles.
