Idolatry begins when people reject what they know about God. Instead of looking to Him as Creator and Sustainer of life, they see themselves as the center of life. Idolators have their own “gods” that are convenient projections of their own selfish plans and desires.
Prayer is a curious concept, both in and out of church. Believers and unbelievers alike commonly console one another with “You’re in my thoughts and prayers.”
