PSJA ISD to host vaccine clinics for high school seniors

SAN JUAN — The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) Health Services Department is hosting a vaccine clinic this week on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the PSJA Health Services Department in San Juan.
This clinic aims to support the health and well-being of students while aligning with PSJA ISD’s broader commitment to advancing the Sustainability Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health & Well-Being.
Texas Education Code section 51.9192 states that all students attending an institution of higher education are required to provide proof of a current bacterial meningitis vaccination. Students can receive any of the following vaccines: Flu, T-DAP, Meningococcal, Pneumococcal, Hepatitis A & B, Inactivated Polio, MMR, and Chickenpox.
There are also clinics slated for May 28 and 29 at the same time, according to a release by the district.
