Early Voting commences for March primaries

It’s time to be ahead of the game and cast those votes. 

Early Voting for the March 5, 2024 Primary Election is underway until March 1. There are 30 polling locations available for registered voters to cast their ballots.

The sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Feb. 24. On Sunday, locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then, from Feb. 26 to March 1, sites will again be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Don’t forget your photo ID when going to vote.

The seven forms of approved photo ID, according to a release by the Hidalgo County Elections Department, are:

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
  • Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
  • United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
  • United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
  • United States Passport (book or card)
