Pharr to host groundbreaking ceremony for multi-use facility

PHARR — The City of Pharr will host a groundbreaking ceremony for its new multi-use facility on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

“The purpose of this facility is to support city operations, including emergency planning and management, and educational community programming activities,” the city said in a release.

Initially, the ceremony was set for this week but due to rain in the forecast, it was postponed.

The ceremony and facility will be on corner of US-281 & Ferguson Ave. in Pharr. “City officials, community leaders, and special guests will be in attendance to commemorate the beginning of construction for this major development project,” the city said in a release.
