Pharr hosts EMS Memorial service

PHARR — The City of Pharr hosted an EMS Memorial Service to honor and remember emergency medical services personnel. The Pharr EMS Memorial Service took place at 7 p.m. last Friday, Dec. 10, at the Pharr EMS Headquarters (3000 N. Cage Blvd.) in Pharr.

The EMS Memorial Service paid tribute to, remember, and honor those emergency medical services personnel who have died in the line of duty and recognize the ultimate sacrifice they have made for their communities.

"The City of Pharr is extremely grateful for the selfless service and dedication of all our emergency medical services personnel who respond to the needs of our community, no matter the emergency," said Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, M.D. "This will be the first EMS Memorial Service hosted by the city and we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the men and women who devote their careers serving in EMS and honor all who have lost their lives doing so," he added.
