If you’re looking to buy a Christmas present for an aviator this year, you can’t go wrong with two books – Wager with the Wind and/ or Fate is the Hunter.
Rep. Cuellar announces $8,110,148 in ‘Internet for All’ Planning Grants for Texas
WASHINGTON — On Dec. 22, U.S. Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) announced the state of Texas will receive $8,110,148 in its first “Internet for All” grants. These grants are for dep loying high- speed internet networks and developing digital skills training programs under the Internet for All initiative. Texas is receiving the funds form the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to plan for the deployment and adoption of affordable, equitable, and reliable high-speed Internet service throughout the state.
Winter storm called ‘once in a generation’
An arctic storm that swept through the state bringing low temperatures and high winds also affected roughly two-thirds of the country’s population, according to the National Weather Service, bringing the coldest Christmas in decades to parts of the country.
Cong. Gonzalez secures over $23.7M in community projects for South Texas
WASHINGTON — On Dec. 23, 2022, Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) voted to pass the Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23) Omnibus Appropriations package to fund the federal government and provide supplemental funding to Ukraine. This package includes $23,796,378 for local community projects located throughout the 15th Congressional District of Texas. Congressman Gonzalez also successfully included H.R. 6810, the Housing our Veterans Act, which takes steps to address veteran homelessness.
