It was common during the early 1900s that everything stopped when the circus came to town. Men, women, children, and businessmen who would close their shops lined the unpaved streets of that era to get a glimpse of the big top as it paraded down main street.
I can teach anyone to drive. That would include a chimpanzee. I cannot, however, teach everyone to fly. It takes little to no brains to drive. We see that everyday on the road. People whose cranial cavity is obviously empty; some are simply brain dead; and yet there they are behind the wheel, texting while going 80 on the expressway, while eating a donut, oblivious to their surroundings. At some point, they had a lobotomy, and yet were granted a driver’s license.

EDINBURG — The Museum of South Texas History presents “Bearing Witness: Stories from the Pandemic,” a spotlight exhibit that features stories of those who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The exhibit will be on display in the Courtyard Gallery from April 11 to Aug. 1.
PHARR — The City of Pharr will host its biggest event of the year, the Pharr Hub Phestival themed "Country Boots, Tejano Roots” which pays homage to the city's roots. The event will take place on Saturday in downtown Pharr (118 S. Cage Blvd) with gates opening at 5 p.m.. There will be carnival rides, food vendors, live entertainment, a barbecue cook-off, and more.
