This week, as of Tuesday, a new report came out, published by The NY Times Monday, based on a leaked White House CDC memo, which said that by June 1, the daily death toll in the U.S. could reach 3,000. The number of confirmed cases per day would top 200,000, according to the same memo.

McALLEN – In an effort to provide support to local restaurants, McAllen Public Utility will be waiving wastewater surcharges through the end of July 2020. Wastewater surcharges are assessed to compensate for the extra treatment that must be conducted due to excess grease or industrial waste collected into the wastewater systems and treated at the wastewater treatment plant. MPU is relaxing the requirement to have grease traps cleaned every 90 days due to less volume of wastewater coming from these businesses.

DHR Health anticipated the needs and established a PPE Conservation Team to provide innovative methods to create and sustain adequate PPE in order to maintain a safe environment for their patients, workforce and community during this pandemic.
