County Judge holds summit

EDINBURG – In anticipation of a law enforcement summit with Governor Greg Abbott later this week, Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez on Tuesday hosted a local summit with elected officials and community leaders to discuss the latest on immigration and its impact locally.

No more acts of “good faith” emanating from PSJA ISD

If PSJA ISD is going to operate in a spirit of Bad Faith with The Advance News Journal moving forward, as opposed to the spirit of Good Faith, which has been the norm between this district and this newspaper for decades, then who else might be treated in the same fashion? What other vendor is going to be told that the contract it currently has with PSJA ISD is no longer valid because someone associated with the district has just found a loophole, a technicality if you will, to break it?
