WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced $9,321,250 for Nuestra Clinica in San Juan, Texas and $4,099,500 for Atacosa Health Center in Pleasanton, Texas as part of the American Rescue Plan Act funding to expand access to COVID-19 vaccines to the hardest-hit and highest-risk communities across the country. The funding will be awarded beginning in April by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
When COVID-19 first started spreading in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention put out a short list of symptoms to watch out for: fever, cough, and shortness of breath. As research on the novel coronavirus and testing expanded, the official list grew to a total of nine symptoms in April.
I probably just should have left well enough alone, but I’ve never been that bright. Case in point -- this Tuesday morning, deadline day, I’m sitting in front of the keyboard, my head flopped forward in a show of despair, thinking, “I can’t believe this is another deadline day. Again.”
