Saul Garza, a former Edinburg North standout and district MVP, has had a phenomenal year at LSU this season. To top it off, he was selected for the second time in the Major League Baseball Draft.
Garza, a catcher for the powerhouse Tigers, was selected in the 32nd round with the 949th pick by the Kansas City Royals. Garza was recently voted the Co-Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional after hitting .500 with six RBIs. He was also named to the SEC All-Tournament Team.
