The Museum of South Texas History (“MOSTHistory”), a museum that preserves and presents the borderland heritage of South Texas and Northeastern Mexico, invites the community to discover a regional and unique tradition: Día de los Muertos. This event will take place Saturday, Nov. 2, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Día de los Muertos: Recuerdos y Ofrendas will celebrate and commemorate the traditions of religious and spiritual worship. Observing these traditions, MOSTHistory presents an annual Community Altar Exhibit in the Courtyard Gallery that will feature 11 altars intended to tell stories, share memories and honor the lives of the dearly departed.
