Commissioners Court approved the sum of $7,500,000.00 Federal CARES Act Relief Fund to go towards the COVID-19 Mortgage and Rental Relief Program which is a grant mortgage assistance program designated to help Hidalgo County residents in select cities and rural areas who have been laid off or had their incomes impacted by the spread of COVID-19. “This program was specifically designed for families affected by COVID-19,” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard F.
