RGV Agents Thwart Two Drug Smuggling Attempts in a Matter of Hours

EDINBURG — Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector stop two smuggling attempts in Starr County that resulted in the seizure of 345 lbs. of marijuana with an estimated value of $276K. Agents assigned to the Rio Grande City (RGC) station conducting patrol operations near Escobares, Texas, observed ten subjects carrying bundles of contraband.
