AUSTIN — NFIB State Director Annie Spilman says this year's sales tax holiday on back-to-school supplies and clothes comes at a critical time for Texas's small businesses.
"It's been a difficult spring and summer for independent retailers because of the coronavirus," Spilman said. "That's why we're encouraging people to shop small and shop local this weekend. They'll find some great deals, and they'll also help the businesses that do so much for their communities."
