Because of recent changes to Customers & Border Protection’s policy in screening U.S. citizens and legal residents crossing at international bridges, the McAllen International Bridge System would like to advise travelers of possible extreme delays upon return. CBP is trying to minimize the exposure of COVID -19 to the community. Beginning today, CBP officers will ask travelers at the international bridges returning from trips to Mexico whether the trip was essential or non-essential.
