WASHINGTON – Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (TX-15) announced $105,358,938 in Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) Title I formula allocations funds for Local Educational Agencies (LEA) in the Rio Grande Valley. Title I funding assist school districts in the effort to give all students fair, equal, and significant opportunities to obtain a high-quality education. The funding also supports students reach state academic achievement standards and academic assessment goals. “This year is going to be different in regards to how schools provide educations to kids because of the pandemic,” said Congressman Gonzalez. “Regardless, every student and teacher deserves access to learning resources and adequate teaching tools.
