PSJA ISD alumna among first known Hispanic female graduates of Texas A&M

PHARR – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) alumna, Irma Alvarado, was recently recognized for being one of the first known Hispanic female graduates of Texas A&M University and for paving the way for other graduates. Alvarado was recently featured in a “Beyond the Books” panel by the nonprofit Aggie Women. Irma Alvarado first graduated from PSJA High School in 1966.
