EDINBURG, Texas – Over the weekend, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents interdicted three marijuana smuggling loads that had a total weight of more than 600 pounds and is valued at approximately $500,000.
An agent assigned to the Fort Brown (FTB) Border Patrol Station observed a male subject near the border wall in Brownsville, Texas. As agents approached the area, the subject abandoned a single bundle of marijuana and was observed fleeing towards the Rio Grande and into Mexico. The weight of the marijuana was more than 46 pounds and is valued at over $37K.
