Back in 1922 the Supreme Court ruled that major league baseball was exempt from anti-trust laws. The legislature never passed a law to that effect. Major league football and basketball have no such exemption. Last week Republican senators lead by Ted Cruz introduced legislation to strip baseball of its exemption. Why?
