EDINBURG – The Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District announced on Thursday that Selena Castañon, a senior at Edinburg North High School, has been awarded the Navy’s prestigious $180,000 Minority Serving Institution Scholarship Reservation. “I’m extremely excited about getting this scholarship,” said Castañon. “It’s going to help pay for my schooling, and then eventually, I’m going to be commissioned to the United States Navy.
