Nearly 40% of Texans are fully vaccinated, but the rate has slowed

As of June 13, 13.3 million people have received at least one dose and 11 million people, or 37.9% of Texas’ population, are fully vaccinated. A total of 23.4 million doses have been administered. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires one dose. Texas received its first shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 14. The vaccines are available to everyone age 12 and older in Texas, regardless of occupation or health status.
