The City of McAllen Parks & Recreation Department is currently hiring lifeguards for various aquatic facilities throughout the community. Minimum requirements include that applicants must be at 16 years of age or older; must have current certification in both American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and American Red Cross Standard First Aid; and must present certificates of completion. “Gain experience in a fun and enjoyable environment, all while helping to keep McAllen residents safe as they swim,” said Interim McAllen Parks & Recreation Director Denny Meline.
