EDINBURG - Emilia "Emily" Abrego, 60, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at her residence in Edinburg. She was loved by all who knew her. Emily loved all her friends at the courthouse, all the judges, lawyers, and staff. She enjoyed country music by K-Tex. Emily loved her family and all her neighbors, she will be greatly missed. Emilia is preceded in death by her father, Juan Abrego; two brothers, Eleazar Abrego, Fidel Abrego; a nephew, Joel Anaya; and a granddaughter, Ashley K. Huizar; son-in-law, Pete Garcia.
