McALLEN – The City of McAllen is seeking applicants for mortgage assistance for McAllen residents who have fallen behind on their monthly payment, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is designed to help residents who are already behind. Residents must also meet the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.) guidelines, whose household income is 80 percent below the area median income and are not currently receiving mortgage assistance due to COVID-19 impact from any other agency.
