EDINBURG — Just before 6 a.m. Monday, Edinburg police responded to the area of the 500 block of East El Cibolo Road in reference to an auto-pedestrian accident.When officers arrived, they saw a man lying on the ground who had been hit by a Weslaco Fire Department non-emergency vehicle. The ambulance was traveling westbound at the 500 block of east El Cibolo when the man ran northbound across the roadway.The 35-year-old man had just been released from the Hidalgo County jail earlier Monday morning.At this time, limited details are being released as this case is still under investigation.
