Pets of the week

Meet 2-year-old Shepherd mix Vince, who is Priyanka's kennel buddy that we talked about last week. When Vince first went into our playgroup sessions, he was rather reserved. He would stay away from everyone and would not socialize like all the others. It took some time for him to become more comfortable during these sessions. He became fast friends with his kennel mate so much that they would play hide and seek in the trees during a session. Vince is very affectionate, friendly when it comes to interactions. He will cuddle up to you so he can get his head scratched. Come on over for a meet and greet with Vince at our Andrews location.

Are you the type to just want to take a stroll here and there? No problem for this beauty who loves to walk. 10-month-old heeler mix Brodie has been with us since early June. She came to the shelter as a stray who was picked up by Animal Control. Brodie is a sweetheart that loves to play with toys, get belly rubs, sits for treats, and is gentle. If you are a first-timer to the canine world, then Brodie is your gal. Please meet her at our Trenton location today!

This 2-month-old Fern does not grow into a flower, but she will blossom inside your heart in no time! Little Fern was very scared when she first came into the shelter. Now that she has come a little more out of her shell, she doesn't mind being touched or picked up to receive love. She enjoys playing with the other kitties and toys with bells. Fern loves to explore inside the boxes in Community Kitten Room 2 at our Andrews location, visit her today.

Three-month-old Bumble came to us as a stray a couple of months ago with mama and siblings. We were fortunate enough that they were placed into our Foster Program until babies and mama were old enough to be adopted. Bumble here is looking for a family that loves to have a good time. She would play all day if she could. Even with a piece of torn paper, she can have the best time of her life. Bumble can also be very lovey-dovey when she is tired out. She will continue to rub on your legs so you can pick her up to get some kisses. Don't hesitate to take this girly home today from our Andrews location.

We are in urgent need of 2-week foster caregivers for puppies, kittens, and infant pets with nursing moms, in order for them to be cleared for rescue transfer. Becoming a foster for us is easy! No experience is required and we'll teach you all you need to know. Visit us daily 11-7 or sign up online at pvastx.org/foster.
