EDINBURG – After a twoyear journey and administrative delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Region One Education Service Center (ESC) teacher alternative certification program (ACP) has received notification of its accreditation status from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as an approved Texas ACP provider. The Region One ACP is a rigorous alternative educator preparation program designed to prepare and certify highly qualified individuals to teach in Texas public schools using a blended training model for teacher candidates.
