The Advance (a sentient newspaper) just found out that one of its old friends, Jack Cawood of Action Realty, died earlier this year at the blessed age of 92, a month shy of turning 93.His family had a memorial service for him this past weekend at St. John’s Episcopal Church (fellowship hall). Approximately 20 people showed up. One friend told me, if Jack had died in his prime (thankfully he didn’t), the place would have been packed.
