PSJA ISD breaks ground for Alamo Building Blocks Academy

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the new PSJA Alamo Building Blocks Academy, set to open for the 2024-2025 school year, on April 26, 2024. The PSJA Alamo Building Blocks Academy will be the latest addition to the district’s renowned early childhood program and its second campus exclusively dedicated to serving Pre-K 3 through Kindergarten students.
Emphasizing play-based learning and fostering exceptional early childhood experiences, the PSJA Alamo Building Blocks Academy signifies progress and innovation in extending accessible early childhood education options to families within the community.
The groundbreaking ceremony, a momentous occasion, welcomed esteemed stakeholders, dignitaries, and community members. The event marked a significant milestone in shaping the future of PSJA ISD and the broader community.
PSJA Superintendent Dr. Alejandro Elias expressed his appreciation to the PSJA School Board for their support in realizing this endeavor during his remarks at the ceremony. He also acknowledged the dedication and collaborative efforts of his administration, recognizing their pivotal role in driving forward initiatives that positively impact the educational journey of PSJA students.
“PSJA has embarked on a journey to ensure that our students get an early start in their education,” said Superintendent Dr. Alejandro Elias. “We are committed to providing them with a solid foundation for lifelong learning by ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.”
Students can enroll at either of the two PSJA Building Blocks Academy locations to access numerous resources, including full-day Pre-K 3 and 4, play-based learning, free transportation, breakfast, lunch, and much more.
