GuerraSpecial To The AdvanceSharyland Pioneer made quick work of Brownsville Lopez, claiming a sweep with 5-2 and 10-0 wins in the UIL Class 5A bi-district baseball playoffs last week.The Diamondbacks are 25-6 overall and captured the district title this year with a 15-2 mark. Pioneer will play Victoria East (268) in the area round Friday and Saturday.Three of the four teams that advanced to the playoffs from District 31-5A won their series, including McAllen Memorial and McAllen High.Sharyland was the only team to fall out of the playoffs from the district.
