Edinburg slated to host Memorial Day ceremony
Special to the Advance
The City of Edinburg is inviting the community to attend the annual Memorial Day Commemorative Ceremony on Friday, May 24 at 10 a.m. The event will be held at Edinburg Municipal Auditorium, located at 200 N. 700th Avenue, right behind Edinburg City Hall.
The ceremony provides an opportunity for the community to come together to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
A special invitation is extended to all Gold Star Families of the 90 Fallen Heroes from Edinburg, whose loved ones' courage and dedication will be reverently acknowledged during the ceremony.
The event will honor the city’s fallen heroes from World War I to the present. It will feature a series of touching tributes, musical performances, and a moment of silence to honor those who have given their lives for freedom.
All community members are encouraged to attend and pay their respects to the fallen heroes. This ceremony not only commemorates their sacrifice but also serves as a reminder of the values and freedoms they fought to protect.
