PSJA golf player signs letter of intent

PSJA Early College High School (ECHS) athlete Paul Mercado signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his golf career at the collegiate level for Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU) on May 30.

Mercado’s journey to this point has been marked by his passion for golf and his dedication to his studies.

As a student-athlete who attends PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions for his studies and plays golf for the PSJA ECHS Bears, he has balanced the demands of academic coursework with the commitment required to excel in sports.

OPHSU located in Goodwell, Oklahoma is known for its strong athletic programs and academic excellence.

Mercado’s signing is a testament to his talents and potential, opening the door to new opportunities for growth and achievement.

“The entire PSJA community congratulates Mercado on this remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success as he takes the next steps in his golf career,” the district said in a release.
