Last week, The Advance published a story about the land and facility which houses The Monitor newspaper. We need to correct a few things. The story reported that the appraised value of the building was $1,521,646. The actual value of the land and facility is $3,640,745 and $5,435,533, respectively. The two figures equal a total value of $9,076,278.The initial figure of the $1.5 million is listed on the Hidalgo County Appraisal District site, but it is for inventory, supplies and furniture. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
