Flurry of birds have feast: Wildlife Photos of the Week

It was feeding time for a flurry of birds here in town. What looked like a nice family meal at first, turned into a “free for all” as crows showed who was on top of the food chain — or in this case, the family tree.

The trophy? A piece of tossed bread.

While the little ones tried to get a little nibble of the nutritious meal — the head honchos made their attempts at taking the grub all for themselves and their greedy beaks.

Just like any other family reunion or meal, members flew in from out of nowhere to get in on the action and to make themselves relevant.

The Advance News Journal tried to get a comment with the family but the group couldn’t be bothered.

“Meal over media,” is what was assumed the birds’ body language was saying.

As of press time, the bread is nowhere to be located.
