Quinta Mazatlán set to host 'Lizard Talk' event

Quinta Mazatlán has something planned for those who love to learn more about lizards.

On Aug. 14, the center will host 'Lizard Talk' with a Angela Rojas, a fellow naturalist. The event is part of their Thursday Night Live series where the public is invited to engage and learn more with not only the center, but with nature itself.

Attendees will learn more about common and 'not-socommon' lizards that are here in the region. They will also enjoy a short walk guided by Rojas and personally see more scaly creatures.

Rojas received her bachelor's of Science in Biology at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. She has worked with Texas Parks and Wildlife as a Park Interpreter and is currently an environmental educator with Quinta Mazatlán.

The event will be from 6 to 7 p.m. It is free with general park admission.
