Cinderella Pet Rescue: Conquer the cold this winter with a furry friend
It looks like we may finally be in for some chilly weather, after a seemingly endless summer. It’s only fitting, what with Christmas approaching, so here’s one super-good way to keep warm on the cold days that are coming. Adopt a loving dog or cat who will snuggle up in your lap, or by your side, when you’re watching TV, or reading a book, or sleep next to you once you’ve gone to bed. Animals instinctively know the warmest place in the house, which is usually right next to their human.
This week, we are featuring two loving critters, both two years old: Lider, a 15 pound Jack Russell Terrier cross and Kyo, a gorgeous marmalade tabbycat with white feet and chest, and big gold eyes, who weighs about 10 pounds.
Lider came to the shelter with her three young daughters. All four of them are small and adorable. She’s a great mom who still loves to hang out with her pups, even though they are now weaned and spayed. She’s affectionate with them and with people and she loves getting attention. She’s house trained and well-mannered while riding in a car. She’s an active dog who loves to run and play with other dogs, but she also loves to settle down with a favorite human and appreciate the companionship that only humans can offer. Be sure to check out her daughters, Laura, Nora, and Dora on our website. Since they’re all small dogs, you might want to consider adopting two of them! As mentioned last week, Dora was injured in a car accident before coming to our shelter, and has only three legs as a result, but she gets along fine, and doesn’t let the loss of her leg bother her a bit.
Kyo is a very handsome boy who is used to being around other cats, dogs, and humans. Be sure to check out the picture of him on our website, as a tiny kitten, with his head inside the mouth of a full-grown dog. Terrifying? No, they were just playing around, but the picture will give you an idea of just how mellow Kyo is. He would probably be happiest in a home that already contains other dogs or cats, since he’s used to lots of company from other pets. He loves interacting with humans too and will reward anyone who pays attention to him with loud purrs of joy.
So, just imagine yourself with one of these delightful animals safe and snug in your home this holiday season, and for many years to come, no matter what the weather’s like outside. We have a lot of others available who would also welcome the chance to find their forever homes where they will be a treasured member of the family.
Lider is spayed and Kyo is neutered and both are upto- date on their shots, so don’t wait, call us today at 391-4399 or check out our website at www.cinderella- pet-rescue.org for more information.
