UTRGV loses close one to Corpus Christi 63-59

This past Saturday, Jan. 3, the UTRGV Vaqueros men’s basketball team welcomed Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to the Fieldhouse in Edinburg.

The Islanders prevailed in a close game, 63-59.

Both teams battled to a 2828 tie at halftime.

Corpus Christi outscored the Vaqueroes 35-31 in the second half to take home the victory.

UTRGV will have another game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on the road on Jan. 22nd.

The Vaqueros record stands at 5-9 overall, 1-4 in SLC.

The Islanders improved to 5-8 overall, 3-2 in SLC play.
