Pets in need of good homes, loving families

Local shelter in need of assistance

This week, Cinderella Pet Rescue is featuring Alegre and Zorro, a couple of great young dogs who are smart, friendly, affectionate and super-cute, too.

Alegre means “happy” or “cheerful” in English and her name suits her to a tee. She’s a female terrier mix with a shaggy white coat, big ears and gold eyes.

She weighs about 40 pounds and was born in September 2024. She loves people and is quite friendly. She’s looking forward to sharing her positive outlook on life with the lucky person who adopts her.

She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. She wants to be with her person as much as she possibly can, whether it’s having an adventure or snuggling quietly at home.

Zorro means “fox” in English and this handsome male Belgian Malinois is sleek and athletic with a beautiful tan coat frosted with black, an all-black face and a pretty white blaze on his chest.

He weighs about 50 pounds and he was born in February 2025, so he’s about to turn a year old. He loves to be with people and enjoys running and playing with other dogs. He enjoys splashing around in his doggy pool during warm weather, which makes him very easy to bathe. He also loves long walks and car rides. Zorro will bark to alert you when strangers come to the door, but he makes friends quickly as soon as you let him know your visitors are OK.

Either one of these friendly and affectionate dogs would make a fine companion for a single person, or would love to be the center of attention in a family.

Call us today at 391-4399 if you’d like more information about Alegre or Zorro. Also check out our website at www. cinderella-pet-rescue.org to see the other great dogs — of all descriptions — looking for their happily-ever-after homes.
